The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) released its preseason poll on Thursday and picked the Badgers as the No. 12 team in the country. USC was ranked No. 1 followed by Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida. Illinois (15) was the only other Big Ten team to crack the FWAA Top-16.

The Badgers are ranked No. 12 in the USA Today poll and No. 13 in the Associated Press poll, both which were released earlier this month.
