Cleveland Browns Rumored to Offer Bill Cowher $8M

The latest off the NFL rumor mill is that the struggle-ing Cleveland Browns are offering Bill Cowher $8-9M to coach them next year. Given the frustration in the front office, this is not entirely a far-fetched rumor, but its not substantiated either. It should also be noted that Cowher himself played-for and then coached Browns (i.e. present-day Ravens) as an assistant from 1980-88.
Cowher thinks it over.
