Braves Rumors: Derek Lowe offered $60 Million

ESPN is reporting that the Atlanta Braves have offered Derek Lowe a 4 year, $60 Million contract. Insiders are saying Lowe is leaning towards signing the contract, as opposed to playing for the New York Mets.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Lowe has agreed to the contract, subject to him passing a physical.

Atlanta is being a little aggressive in offering Lowe a 4 year contract. Lowe is 35 years old. Not everyone is likely to have the longevity of former Brave Greg Maddux.
