BCS Rankings: Oklahoma Moves Ahead of Texas

Style points mattered.

And it could well be that the meaningless touchdown run with 20 seconds left to go moved Oklahoma into the BCS’s second spot… ahead of the Texas Longhorns… and into the Big 12 Championship.

By the way, I totally agree with these rankings. Oklahoma has been the most impressive football team - and their win over Texas Tech (the hottest team at the time) was the most convincing win I’ve seen in 2008. Texas, meanwhile, lost to that same team on a final drive - and that, in my opinion, is worthy of being ranked below Oklahoma.

Week 13 NFL Picks: Colts, Giants, Bills & Bears

Each week, InGameNow’s prognosticators, Jack and I, do an NFL Pick-em against the spread. It works like this: we rotate picks - so if Jack picks first, he will take the game that he likes best. I then pick my next two favorite games… and so on. At the end of the week, the person who picked more games correctly wins.

After being in a stalemate at 3-3-3 going into Week 10, I won the last three weeks and am off to a fourth straight week after going perfect on Thanksgiving Football (Titans, Cowboys & Eagles!). What a streak … so ride me and bet against Jack.

Week 12 NFL Picks: Locks are Patriots, Panthers, Giants, Colts

… And I took my first lead of the season! After being in a stalemate at 3-3-3 going into Week 10, I won the week and have a 4-3-3 lead on Jack. I feel particularly good this week (love the Bucs, Cardinals, Titans and Giants) - but the real point is that I disagree with several of Jack’s picks (Broncos, Bears, Panthers, Redskins, Bills)… and that’s where you make the winnings!
