What better way to celebrate the life and demise of a great artist than with an appropriate end zone celebration? Well, if appropriate is not your cup o tea, you can do what Argos’ receiver Arland Bruce did and play dead:

Refs awarded the receiving gloved-one not one, but two penalties for “objectionable conduct”. He was also fined by the CFL. Next time just stick with a crotch grab and a leg kick.

Who’s #1? The SEC or The Big XII?

Since the 2007 BCS National Championship Game, the SEC has enjoyed dominance over the college football landscape. People have tried to suggest various competition. First it was the “Big Ten wasn’t really that bad and Ohio St. will win the National Championship against LSU” theory. That was dismantled in 2008. Then it was the “if USC was in the SEC they would win X number of games.” First things first, USC needs to figure out how to go undefeated in the Pac-10. Now there is the “Big XII South is the toughest division in the country, and thus is the best conference in the country.” HUH???

If my memory serves me right did Florida not defeat #1 Oklahoma in the national championship game. Ok I’ll choke up the fact that it was in Miami, and it was a home state game for the Gators. Then how do people explain the implosion of the Red Raiders against supposed “outmatched” Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl? A bowl game that the SEC has beaten the Big XII five out of the last six times (four out of five if the Alabama vacation stands).

It is just not the Big XII South’s performance against the SEC. Oklahoma St. lost to Oregon in the Holiday Bowl, and Texas BARELY got by Ohio St. (remember the team that got spanked twice by the SEC in the national title games).

Look, I’m not hear to lampoon the Big XII, it is clearly the 2nd best conference in football. It is a great conference with great talent and teams, but the argument is just not there. Until the SEC starts losing big games against power conference teams on a consistent basis, the SEC will be the best in college football. Until the “vaunted” Big XII South starts beating prime time teams outside its division (which Oklahoma St. does have a chance against Georgia this year), and until Nebraska, Colorado, and Texas A&M find their once contender status the Big XII cannot close the gap.

The Oakland Raiders Are Big in Asia

If there are 2 places in the world we can depend on for a good dosage of random, they are 1) Asia and 2) the Oakland Raiders’ front office. So it makes perfect sense that the Raiders are sponsoring at least two Airbus A340s on Air Asia X, a carrier that does not even fly to the US.

We imagine there is some method to the madness. The Raiders want to export their quality product across borders. I get it. Last time I was in London, the easiest way to spot an American was to find somebody wearing an American sports team other than the default Yankees. The Raiders want to be that go-to brand. So next time you’re in Singapore, look out for the kid in JaMarcus Russell jersey (and Yankees cap).

The planes below have been seen at London’s Stansted Airport, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. As of now, residents of either city believe the Raiders are led by Captain Jack Sparrow and their plane is the Black Pearl. Disney appreciates the free pub.

Superstar’s Joanna Krupa has a Hot Sister: Marta Krupa

Joanna Krupa and TO were the very first team eliminated from ABC’s Superstars. Thanks to some loose lips on the ABC production team, it is knows that Jennifer Capriati will drop out do to injury allowing TO and Joanna to be brought back into the competition. This is great, viewers can’t get enough of the Supermodel yelling at the most hated man in the NFL.

Joanna Krupa has been the talk of TV, after telling off the NFL’s Terrell Owens:

Besides having a killer body and a dirty mouth, Joanna Krupa also has a smoking sister, Marta Krupa.

The Krupa Sisters were born in Poland, and spent some time in Chicago, before finding their way down to Miami. Since then, big sis Joanna’s career has taken off (finding her way on the covers of numerous magazines, including Maxim and Playboy). Younger sis Marta looks like her career is ready to explode (well, after looking at Marta Krupa Pictures, something is ready to explode)

Marta and Joanna Krupa are involved with a Dallas Club called PLUSH. Might be worth a trip down to Big D

There is no question that the Krupa Sisters are hotter than the Paris and Nicky Hilton, Hilary and Haylie Duff, and the Kardashian girls. It is an impossible call if the Krupa sisters are hotter than Erin and Kendra Andrews, or the Ferres Twins.

Bernie Madoff Sentenced to 150 Years

Today, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin gave Bernie Madoff a sentence of 150 years.

Bernie Madoff asked Judge Chin for a 12 year sentence.

Don’t get me wrong, 12 years in the slammer would suck, but rationally, Bernie Madoff must be on crack if he thinks defrauding the public for $65 Billion warrants 12 years.

Madoff robed investors of $65 Billion. Based on the 150 year sentence, the $65 Billion would be worth this in time served:

$1,187,214 per day
$49,467 per hour
$824 per minute
$13.73 per SECOND

Somehow, this sentence does not seem long enough.

This has been a really full week so far, and the weekend is just starting. Earlier this week we lost Ed McMahon, protesters saw bloody crackdowns in Iran, and the NBA Draft was the biggest sports story.

A lot has changed since Hump Day. Here are the top 5 things you never would have believed when you woke up Wednesday:

5.The Governor of South Carolina Skipped Father’s Day for a Booty Call

This fool was so smitten by his love for Maria Belen Chapur that he flew to the ends of the earth for some horizontal tango while he told the residents of SC he was hiking. The mix up is understandable; Appalachian Trail sounds a lot like Argentinian Tail (thanks petitveritas).

4. Shaquille O’Neal is a Cleveland Cavalier

Shaq will be joining King James in exchange for next to nothing: $500k cash, Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, and a 2011 draft pick. By the way, stick a fork in the Phoenix Suns. They officially begin a new era of mediocrity.

3. USA Kicked Spain’s Ass in Soccer

Spain was the #1 ranked team in the Confederations Cup and had been dominating the world with their 15 game win streak. The US not only beat them 2-0 in the semifinal, but we get rewarded with facing Brazil in USA’s first ever FIFA Final.

2. Farrah Fawcett’s Impending Death Would be Upstaged Within Hours

The iconic sex symbol from the 70s would lose her battle with cancer and never be forgotten by news agencies for at least 4 hours.

Nobody saw that coming when they woke up yesterday. By 5pm Eastern time there was an internet buzz about Michael Jackson’s collapse. By 6:30 he was gone too soon.

Travis Henry is BACK baby… actually he’s BACK with another freakin’ baby. Two of them. The man who already has nine kids by NINE different mothers, still refuses to buy condoms. Some may say it’s sad, but I say it’s AWESOME! Why, because I just can’t imagine any woman being dumb enough to sleep with Travis Henry these days. Seriously, he’s played football for three NFL teams (Buffalo, Tennessee and Denver) so you know his face is familiar, and yet there’s still women willing to take a chance on a man that pays $170,000 a year in child support. If T. Hen is ever short on payments he should just come out with a video about “How to run game when you’ve got 9 kids with 9 different women” by Travis Henry. Chapter 1 Don’t tell that bitch about any of your kids or they baby mama’s, talk about some of your recent achievements and buy her at least 7 drinks.

New York Tabloids have recently linked starlet Kate Hudson to Yankee star Alex Rodriguez. Rumor has it that the reason that A-Rod has been missing games with a case of “fatigue” is because he’s been burning the midnight oil with Hudson. That’s gotta piss off New Yorkers seeing as how the Yankees are paying Rodriguez 33 million dollars and everyone knows that for half that amount they could distract Hudson with some shitty B movie (where she’ll probably show her boobs) and let A-Rod focus on whipping the Red Sox.

Wimbledon started this week and while it is the best tournament in Tennis, it’s just not the same when we can’t look forward to Maria Sharapova sweating all over the court. Seriously, haven’t tennis fans been put through enough? For years millions of male fans suffered through Anna Kournikova getting bounced in the early rounds of tennis events, but we just can’t take it again Martina! If Sharapova keeps getting bounced in the early rounds of tennis events, women are going to figure out that men all over the world don’t give a crap who wins and are just watching her because she’s smoking hot. So thank you Gisela Dulko for beating Sharapova, now I have to watch three more rounds of beefy trannies grunting at each other just to keep from getting busted.

That dude is bad ass at tennis!

THE UNITED STATES SOCCER TEAM defeated Spain 2-0 Thursday night. I’m serious! I am not even messing around! I know you don’t watch soccer, but seriously this victory is soccer’s version of the Miracle on Ice if only it happened in the preseason. Everyone knows that the US never beats good teams, as a matter of fact we usually end up getting beat by third world countries that cant even afford shoes for their team and that is why it is so sweet that they beat the BEST team in the entire world. A team that had set an international record with 15 straight victories and had tied Brazil’s record unbeaten streak of 35, that’s who the US National team defeated. And BAM, just like that, the shoe is on the other foot and the rest of the world knows how the Americans felt when the Dream Team couldn’t even make it the medal round at the Basketball World Championships.

We beat a team that could afford shoes!

LSU defeated Texas in the College World Series on Thursday in one of the closest matched championship series that…no one really watched. Damn it come on people! The College World Series is better than the BCS and the Final Four put together, because unlike football, Baseball settles the championship on the field, and unlike basketball most college baseball players don’t bolt for the pros after their freshman year. They either go straight from high school to the show or they bang it out in college for four years. That’s why this years match up between LSU and Texas was such an epic battle because both teams were national powerhouses that were stocked with talent. So here’s to the new College Baseball National Champions, the LSU Tigers. Enjoy it while you can because we’re going to kick your ass in football.

Lastly lets give a shout out to one of the sexiest women on the planet back in the 70’s, Farrah Fawcett. She will be missed.

Perez Hilton Sticks Other Foot in Mouth

One would think Perez Hilton would be on his best behavior. Earlier in the week, Perez completely disrespected the Gay community by calling Will.i.am a “faggot.”

Well, against all odds, Perez Hilton became a bigger douche this week. Immediately after reports surfaced that Michael Jackson had a heart attack, Perez basically called the entire event a sham. But don’t take my words for it, read what Perez wrote….

“We knew something like this would happen!!

Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance from his Holmby Hills home to a nearby Los Angeles hospital on Thursday afternoon!!

Supposedly, the singer went into cardiac arrest and the paramedics had to administer CPR!!!

His mother is even on the way to visit him!!!

We are dubious!!

Jacko pulled a similar stunt when he was getting ready for his big HBO special in ‘95 when he “collapsed” at rehearsal!

He was dragging his heels on that just like his upcoming 50 date London residency at the 02 Arena, of which he already postponed the first few dates!!!

Either he’s lying or making himself sick, but we’re curious to see if he’s able to go on!!!
