Vladimir Guerrero Admits to Lying About His Age - Now 35

Vladimir Guerrero is a year older but not a year wiser. The Angels’ slugger inadvertently revealed Friday that he is 34 years old, not 33, as listed in the team’s media guide. The discrepancy was discovered by Yahoo! Sports columnist Tim Brown, who, as part of an interview for a story on Guerrero, asked the outfielder to respond to a quote from Manager Mike Scioscia.

From pinstripes to Los Angeles… but Bobby Abreu won’t be reunited with Joe Torre. Rather, he will be playing for the Angels - likely on a one-year contract… which is really ideal for the Angels. Any time you can sign a great hitter and keep him motivated by the all-valuable “contract year” - you must be happy.

But just replaced KRod with Brian Fuentes with a two year, $17.5 million deal.

The Angels have offered an eight-year contract to Mark Teixeira, general manager Tony Reagins said Friday night. The contract would be the longest and richest in club history.
