Brock Lesnar Training Montage vs. Rocky Balboa IV Montage
December 3rd, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in MMA, wwe
Two heavyweight legends.
Two epic training montages.
And the only part that gets me more excited about Rocky is that it’s in Russia, in the freezing cold, and he is doing this in snow boots (highly underrated training tip).
Odds for a Rocky vs. Brock fight:
- boxing: Rocky -250; Brock +425
- MMA: Brock -450; Rocky +600
- WW: Rocky -110; Brock -110Brock Lesnar Training Montage

UFC 100 Rumors
October 15th, 2008 | By Sean Finerty Posted in MMA
While we still have some great UFC cards to look forward to - UFC 90: Silva v. Cote, UFC 91: Couture v. Lesnar, and BJ Penn v. Georges St.-Pierre expected to take place sometime around the Super Bowl (and, yes, UFC 89, but that’s irrelevant in comparison) - rumors are starting to swirl around UFC 100. And these rumors are HUGE!
According to the rumors, UFC 100, expected to take place on July 4th, will put every title on the line. Assuming that the current Champions retain their belts between now and then, you can expect to see a card boast the likes of Lightweight Champion BJ Penn, Welterweight Champion Georges St.-Pierre, Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin, and Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira/Randy Couture (heavyweight title, obviously, still to be decided). This would be by far the biggest promotion any MMA organization has put on.
Obviously, the biggest problem the UFC would face is the question, “What now?” If you’ve got every champion and every top contender fighting on the UFC 100 card, that leaves the talent pool pretty thin when you start planning UFC 101. In fact, the earliest you’d probably see a championship fight would be UFC 103. So as great as an all-championship UFC 100 sounds, is it worth the hit on future events?

Randy Couture is Officially Back with UFC
September 2nd, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in MMA
The UFC has completed its press conference this afternoon, and the news is huge. USA Today reports that Randy Couture will be returning to the octagon as rumored to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 91. The event was originally expected to take place in Portland, Oregon, but with these recent developments, Dana White appropriately decided to move things to Las Vegas. Also of importance is the fact that this WILL be a title fight, as Couture will be defending the UFC Heavyweight Championship. I don’t like Lesnar’s chances if this goes the 5 round distance.
Of course, what does this mean for interim Heavyweight Champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and his upcoming match against Frank Mir? The plan is to have a unification match in 2009 between the winner of Lesnar-Couture and Nogueira-Mir. No word yet on what this means for the possibility of a Couture-Fedor Emelianenko dream matchup. The press conference is still ongoing, and I’m sure the question will be addressed by Dana White in some form.

Randy Couture to Return for Three Fights?
September 2nd, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in MMA
UFC fanboys are giddy over the rumors that Randy Couture may return to the octagon to fight MMA rookie Brock Lesnar. But the latest Randy Couture rumor is enough to make you change your shorts. The latest: Couture will return to the UFC for THREE fights. The first fight is expected to be Lesnar. But the second fight - and you may need to change your shorts again - is expected to be against the top heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko. While Fedor has been most recently linked with Affliction, where he won the World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship by destroying former UFC Heavyweight champ Tim Sylvia, the fight is said to be under the “UFC banner.”
It’s not clear who the third fight would be, but if Couture were to get by both Lesnar and Fedor, he most likely would pull the UFC Heavyweight Champion. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is the current champ, and he’ll be defending his title against Frank Mir at the conclusion of the next season of The Ultimate Fighter.
We should know how much truth are in these rumors soon enough - the UFC has scheduled a press conference for today at noon, PT.

Brock Lesnar Bets Heath Herring in UFC 87 - Full Video
August 10th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in Uncategorized
Brock Lesnar tapped into a lifetime of wrestling to overwhelm the much more experienced Heath Herring over three rounds Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 87 “Seek and Destroy” in Minneapolis, Minn.
Fans inside the Target Center rewarded the 2000 NCAA Div. I wrestling champion for the University of Minnesota with their undying adulation, while the judges handed Lesnar the third victory of his short, but so-far productive mixed martial arts career with a 30-26 unanimous decision nod across the cards.
