• UCLA Beats Tennessee Football in Overtime, Daniel Lincoln Missed Field Goal

September 2nd, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in Uncategorized

In a gut wencher for UCLA , Craft pulled a 180 and brought the BRUINS an amazing last minute victory! This kid is going to be the man around campus…….At least this week. UCLA looks good but not GREAT and with their schedule they are going to need to step up to the plate.

Kevin Craft: 25 of 43 on the night with 259 total yards, no TD’s and 4 picks. His numbers aren’t great but this guy made a compelete 180 to bring his team back at the end of the 4th quarter. What a clutch performance by him and his O Line.

  • Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins - NHL Playoffs & Predictions

April 20th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NHL

#1 Montreal Canadiens vs. #8 Boston Bruins

The 8th seed beating the #1 is not quite as rare in hockey as it is in other sports, however, Saturday’s game showed the true grit of the Bruins. Facing elimination, the Bruins kept attacking the Canadiens, eventually prevailing on great piece of puck work by Marco Sturm, who has scored 2 goals in as many games.

In a series that, seemingly, should have ended as it began: with the Canadiens dominating; the Bruins have pulled even, forcing a deciding Game 7. The first 5 periods of the series were dominated by the Canadiens, however, the Bruins showed life in the 3rd period of Game 2 forcing an OT, only to lose 2:30 into it. Games 3 and 4, in Boston, were split, setting up the clinching victory for the Canadiens in Montreal. However, the Bruin offense woke up and dominated in Game 5, followed by a thrilling performance by both offenses in Game 6, culminating in Sturm’s winning goal with 2:37 left.

Both teams have had new heroes each game, so it should be fun watching to see who will be the stars of Game 7.

Prediction: It is tough to bet against the Bruins after their performance in the last two games, however, it may be even tougher to ask for such a performance for the third straight game – Canadiens win the 7th and clinching game.

  • Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators - NHL Playoffs

April 20th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NHL

#2 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. #7 Ottawa Senators

Unless the Bruins win two games straight, the Penguins are set to face-off against Rangers in the second round of the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Penguins got their revenge against the Senators a year after the two teams clashed resulting in the Penguins exiting the playoffs after 5 games in the first round. The Senators went on to be the Eastern Conference Champions. However, this year, the Senators, who only held a lead for a little over 4 minutes, were no match for the speed and energy of the Penguins.

Pittsburgh was led to a 4 game sweep victory by their two phenom centers Sidney Crosby (8 pts) and Evgeni Malkin (7pts), only 20 and 21 years old, respectively. In keeping with the dominant youth movement, Marc-Andre Fleury (23) held strong in goal allowing a stingy 1.26 goals per game, including a shut-out in the first game of the series. The key going forward is for Coach Therrien, to keep the youth focused during the wait for their second round opponent.
