#12 Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars, Fantasy Football Mock Draft
August 23rd, 2008 | By Josh Posted in NFL
MJD is another up-and-comer who could have a big season for a good team. While Fragile (not so much recently) Fred Taylor is still in the mix, 2007 gave a good look at how the team plans to use their two backs. Maurice gets all of the touches that count for fantasy - he is the guy that gets to bring the rock over the stripe. With real questions remaining for this team at the WR position, I anticipate that the RBs will get most of the scores here and that is clearly good news for MJD.

#10 Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo Bills, Fantasy Football Mock Draft
August 23rd, 2008 | By Josh Posted in NFL
Ok, really not loving the end of the first round this year, but Lynch is a guy I look at as someone on the verge of a breakout season. The Bills are not as bad as you think, especially with a healthy Trent Edwards at QB and the always dangerous Lee Evans. Lynch only scored 7 times last year, which is why he is still on the board, but with a much improved team I like a guy who ran for over 1,100 yards…

#8 Randy Moss, New England, Fantasy Football Mock Draft
August 23rd, 2008 | By Josh Posted in NFL
Yes, I have one more RB I like, but he plays for a horrible team - I hate picking guys who play for bad teams because they frustrate me all season by not scoring. Picking Moss here gives me a guy who I should expect to score every week. Ok, I will admit, he is not going to have the record breaking year he had in the 2007-2008 season, but his team is still hungry.
For the record, this is not a slot I would like to be drafting in - I think the best of the RBs are gone and do not love the idea of using a #1 pick on a WR, but I will be able to pick up a solid RB in round 2 & 3 and Moss is clearly the best guy on the board.

#6 Marion Barber, Dallas Cowboys - Fantasy Football Mock Draft
August 23rd, 2008 | By Josh Posted in NFL
Ok, I know I am going to get some people asking questions about this pick - I just love guys who play for great teams and have a nose for the end zone. This guy could have a MONSTER year - Dallas is going to put up a lot of points and Barber has demonstrated he knows how to score. He had 10 TDs on the ground last year while having to split carries with the waste of space known as Julius Jones. With that problem now in Seattle’s hands, I look for big things from Barber. Felix Jones could take some of the load, but not enough to cause me any concern.

#4 Brian Westbrook, Eagles - Fantasy Football Mock Draft
August 23rd, 2008 | By Josh Posted in NFL
Love getting Westbrook here at the 4 slot - thought for sure he would go at #3. He is quite simply the Eagles entire offense. Ran for over 1,300 yards last year and caught passes for another 700+. I dont expect him to repeat those numbers from a yardage perspective but I think that the Eagles improved team helps him get in the end zone as much as 15 times this year.
