Week 11 NFL Picks: Locks are Redskins, Buccaneers, Cardinals, 49ers
November 13th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in Picks & Odds
Each week, InGameNow’s prognosticators, Jack and I, do an NFL Pick-em against the spread. It works like this: we rotate picks - so if Jack picks first, he will take the game that he likes best. I then pick my next two favorite games… and so on. At the end of the week, the person who picked more games correctly wins.
… And I took my first lead of the season! After being in a stalemate at 3-3-3 going into Week 10, I won the week and have a 4-3-3 lead on Jack. I feel particularly good this week (love the Bucs, Cardinals, Titans and Giants) - but the real point is that I disagree with several of Jack’s picks (Broncos, Bears, Panthers, Redskins, Bills)… and that’s where you make the winnings!
So go ahead. Bet your mortgage on these four picks… we have been so hot recently that they are guaranteed winners losers. because that’s just how these things work!

Breaking: Washington Redskins to Sign Shaun Alexander
October 13th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL
NFL Network announcer Adam Schefter is reporting that the Washington Redskins will sign Shaun Alexander tomorrow if nothing bizarre occurs at his physical today.
Alexander is attractive to the Redskins because Ladell Betts suffered a bad knee injury during the Skins bad loss to the bad St. Louis Rams.
If this doesn’t work out - rumors are that Alexander could play quarterback in New England.

Alexander will visit Redskins
Posted: October 13th, 2008 | Adam Schefter | Tags: Shaun Alexander, Washington Redskins
Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander will visit the Washington Redskins on Tuesday and undergo a physical with the team. If all goes according to plan, Alexander could be a Redskin by the end of Tuesday. The Redskins are seeking another back with Ladell Betts nursing a knee injury. Alexander had drawn interest from the Bengals and Saints, but neither had opted to sign him. Now the Redskins could. Tuesday could be Alexander’s day. -
Anyone Still on the Redskins Bandwagon?
October 12th, 2008 | By Steuart Martens Posted in NFL
The bandwagon that once was the Washington Redskins will find itself with a lot less riders come Monday morning. After four straight wins, the Redskins yawned their way into Sunday’s matchup with the winless St.Louis Rams, only to find themselves on the losing end after a Josh Brown 49-yard field goal on the last play of the game 19-17.

For the Skins, it was like a slap in the face going for a good-night kiss. They were pumping their chests after two road wins in Dallas and Philly, but quickly were brought back down to earth by a Rams team that not only had not won a game, but also had fired their coach and had already changed QB’s, only to go back to their opening day starter - Marc Bulger.
The Rams were able to build a nine-point 4th quarter lead with just one offensive TD, as well as being dominated in the stat columns. But, after Clinton Portis took in a two-yard run to make it 17-16 Skins with 3:47 left, the Skins D forgot to play defense, and allowed Bulger and the Rams to go from their 24 and move to the Skins 21 in 3:40 to allow Brown to kick the game-winner.
Washington outgained the Rams 368 to 200, had 21 first downs to their 8, and ran for 181 yards to the Rams 76. Doesn’t matter. In the end the Skins should take a hard look at again who they are, which is a young team that has a ways to go before they can count themselves among the NFL elite. This game was a sure sign that it’s a league that you can always say - “on any given Sunday.”

Rating Top 5 Redskins Cheerleaders, Including Buffy & Brittni
October 6th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL
Ah Cheerleaders. Do they help us win the game? Probably not. Do we ever have a chance of dating one? Probably not. Are they nice to look at during TV timeouts? Absolutely. I was in attendance when the Redskins came back to beat the Saints a few weeks ago. Despite sitting next to my girlfriend, I managed to leer, gawk, and flat-out stare at “The First Ladies of Football”. My seats were good enough (i.e. expensive enough) to see the cheerleaders clearly, and a few stood out above the rest. In order, here are the top 5 hottest Redskins cheerleaders.
5. Jenny from George Mason University. Believe it or not, Jenny is 29 years old, ancient in the cheerleading realm. But she doesn’t look a day over 19. Oh Jenny, the way you shook those pom-poms allowed me to forget that Reggie Bush just house’d a punt return.

4. Nicole, a former terrapin, age 27. Nicole is also a high school science teacher, meaning this one woman can cover the two biggest sexual fantasies of men everywhere. How can anyone in her class be expected to get good grades? Her splits and jumps rivaled members of the U.S. Olympic Team (also hot).

3. Buffy, who has unbelievably given birth to twins. She’s 26 and a rookie on this year’s squad. I’ll be honest, I missed one of Portis’s better runs because Buffy had made her way over to our corner. Well done Buffy, well done.

2. Brittni, still a sophomore in college, is a flat-out stunner. She’s in her second year as Redskin’s Cheerleader, at age 19! Anytime the name Brittney ends with “ni”, you can usually expect good things. Her leg kicks soared over the top of her head, at which point football just didn’t matter anymore.

1. Kristen, who doesn’t list her age. Hmmm… Guess what, it doesn’t matter. She left images in my mind that will not soon be forgotten. Kristen is in a league all her own, and I’m just glad I got to watch her in action, over, and over, and over again.

This top 5 is just one man’s opinion. I would encourage you to check out redskins.com and make your own judgments. The bottom line is this: There could be no better entertainment during breaks in the action than watching beautiful women in tiny outfits. Period.

Fantasy Football Injury Report: Brian Westbrook, Carson Palmer Out
September 28th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL
Do *not* play these tier one fantasy football players. They are not playing in NFL week 4 and SI.com is reporting that the big names Brain Westbrook and Carson Palmer will indeed not play:
Justin Fargas RB OAK
Joey Galloway WR TB
Donte Stallworth WR CLE
Devin Hester WR CHI
James Jones WR GB
L.J. Smith TE PHI
Redskins DST: With Jason Taylor, Fred Smoot, and others are out.And the big guns:
Brian Westbrook RB PHI: Westbrook is going to be a game time decision, but sources tell me that the gameplan is going to be built the same way whether he plays or not. If Westbrook plays, he’ll get a few carries, but they’re more focused on getting him in space where he doesnt have to make as many cuts and won’t have 300 pound men falling on him. And that’s a big “if.” Correll Buckhalter is going to get more of the carries, if not all of them, so if you handcuffed, that’s the way to go.
Carson Palmer QB CIN: Palmer is still expected to play, but there’s enough concern about his elbow that I’m downgrading him. We’ll know soon if he’s ready to go in what should be a fantasy barnburner.
