• Terrell Owens: Stop Ducking My $25,000 Bet You Baby

September 7th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL

TO- Nice first half. 4 receptions for 65 yards, and a great TD. Loved the touchdown celebration. Practicing your track start. Very creative.

Still, I think you are a wimp. When are you going to step up and accept my challenge. You, a pro-bowl NFL wide receiver, vs. me, a slow 30 year old white guy who has run under 100 miles in my life. Simple terms of the bet. We race 100 meters. I get a 20 meter head start. Looser donates 25 large to the charity of the winners choice. It looks like Dallas is going to win a lot of games this year. I am sure Mr. Jones will be generous with the post season bonuses. Why not put the money to good use. By racing me.

You can’t hide from me forever.

  • Open Letter to Terrell Owens - I’m Betting You $25k in a 100 Dash

September 5th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL

This week, Terrell Owens was quoted on HBO’s Hard Knocks as saying, “I Could Beat Usain Bolt If I Got a 20-Yard Head Start.” I am not impressed by this at all. I hope an NFL pro-bowl wide receiver could beat Bolt in this race. What I would like to do now is make a challenge to TO.

I formally challenge TO to a race. I am a 30 year old white kid who has run less than 100 miles in my life. To prove how weak TO’s claim is, I bet $25,000 that I can beat Terrell Owens in a 100 meter race, where I get a 20 meter head start. My only stipulations are that 1. the money goes to a charity of the winners choice and 2. the race happens after the NFL season (I don’t want to get an angry phone call from Jerry Jones wondering how his star receiver blew his hammy.)

Really, TO has nothing to worry about. He obviously has the coin to blow on this race. Plus, LeBron James, a much bigger sports star, lost to some shmoe in a game of horse. TO’s ego has nothing to worry about if/when I beat him.

Best of luck this season Terrell. I hope you stay healthy.

    Sincerely,
    Your friendly Ingamenow blogger

  • Usain Bolt & Asafa Powell Can Dance Slightly Better than NFL Owners

August 27th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in NFL, Olympics

Chastised for his early celebrations, Usain Bolt can let loose now that the Olympics are over. Fortunately he’s secure in himself to not care how he looks on the dance floor. Bolt and Asafa Powell were seen having a dance-off in this nightclub, that for some reason reminded me of an unskilled version of Stiffler in American Pie 3.

    via Deuce of Davenport:

This is, of course, a thinly veiled excuse for us to compare their dance moves with those of Mark Madsen and other white guys winning championships, because these video clips just don’t get old:

If your moves are a measure of success in football, I think this shows us that Bolt and Powell may actually be more prepared to own an NFL team than play on one.

  • Preparing for Usain Bolt’s 200 Meters with Michael Johnson’s 200 World Record: 19.32

August 19th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in Olympics

I remember specifically where I was during this race.
And I remember specifically how I felt / stood in awe during the race.

I am excited to see Usain Bolt attempt to break the mark of 19.32 and cause Michael Johnson’s face to give off a wonderful, way-too-much-botox look. If Johnson was awe struck by Usain’s “I’m-only-half-trying” 100 meter dash, what will he look like when Bolt runs a 19.2?!

  • Video of Michael Johnson Gawking at Usain Bolt

August 18th, 2008 | By InGameNow Posted in Olympics

Minutes after posting about Michael Johnson’s hilarious facial expression during the Usain Bolt world record 100 meter dash… we come across the actual video - which is a complete gem. Watch. Enjoy. Watch 10 more times. His expressions are as good as Usain Bolt’s last 10 meters of celebration. Awesome:
